So I was 2 months late with Reed's 18th month check up but I seem to just be trying to keep my head above water these days. But, that's how it goes I guess. You just have to keep rolling with the punches and go on.
Anyway, Reed checked out great. He weighs 29 pounds and is 34 inches tall. This puts him at the 75% for both weight and height. He passed all the major milestones with flying colors and is developing perfectly.
He is becoming quit the jabber box lately and is working on putting 3 and 4 words together at a time. His favorite things to yell while we are driving are Cool Bufs (School Bus). We have to acknowledge that we heard him or he will just keep saying it. Once we acknowledge him, he says Bye Bye Cool Bufs about 20 times. By the time we get to that point, he sees another one and it starts all over again.
If you mention Mammy or Indiana he will start saying Nunnel (Tunnel) and Bich (Bridge). No he is not calling my mom a bad name (I don't think) but he is referring to the tunnel and the bridge we go over just before we get to Indiana on our way to Mammy's house.
Every time we go over RR tracks or see a train, he has to point that out by saying Bye Bye Choo Choo or Bye Bye Choo Choo Tracks.
We take one road to their school and a different road home so that on the way back from school, Reed can see the horses. He loves them and can not say horse but he makes a horse sound when ever we see one. One day they were paving the road that went past the horses so I did not go that way. As soon as I passed the road to the horses, Reed started making horse sounds and pointing to the road that I usually turn on but didn't. I was really surprised he noticed I took a different way home.
He has also started singing parts of songs that Millie sings a lot. It is very sweet.
I guess that sums him up right now. He is close to figuring out how to pedal the tricycle. I think it will only be a few weeks before he can zip around the neighborhood with Millie on her bike.
