Photography Field Trip
My photography class had a field trip on Saturday that I choose to go to INSTEAD of going to Chattanooga with Rick, my mom and the kids to see Thomas the Train. I was very torn but I want to get as much as I can out of this photography class so I hated to miss 4 hours of instruction. We met downtown at 8am and started a long trek through city streets, over bridges and under bridges. I have to say it was the most time I have spent downtown since I have lived here so it was kind of nice to see parts of the city that I never knew existed. This activity was a little hard for me to get into though because I really don't plan to be a professional photographer, I just want to take good pictures of the kids once in a while. So my enthusiasm for taking photos of bricks, rocks, walls, signs, traffic signals and architectural detail just wasn't there. I tried to be open minded though and go with the flow. I just kind of pretended that Millie or Reed were standing in front of one of these things and went with it. Here are some shots I got on our 4 1 /2 hour tour of Knoxville. I took close to 400 photos...that is about 1.5 photos per minute.
