Farewell Karate

Millie and Reed both had their final Karate class today. It was sad, I have to admit. I slightly teared up after both classes when we told the instructors goodbye. It didn't help me that Reed's instructor was crying. It is such an amazing family owned business and they truly care about all of their students, especially the rock stars like my 2 critters. They made them both promise that they would keep at it after we move and they hope to see them both down the road at competitions. Reed was able to squeeze in one more belt on his last day. He tested for his green belt and did a great job. His instructor has him doing things she has never had Little Dragons do before and he rocks at it. Of course it helps that Millie is learning these things in her class and so she practices on him teaches him these things at home.

He ran his Kata
He did a few take downs on his instructor
Earned his new green belt with ease!
At Millie's class that evening her instructor let them break some boards. She did great.

Saying goodbye to her instructor was hard too. Not so much saying goodbye but hearing what he was telling her was so sweet. I hope we can find something as good after we move but I'm not holding my breath. They are pretty fantastic at Westfield.
