2 Meunier Brothers And A Soccer Ball

To continue the post from earlier today, I will add that after lunch we discovered that the playground I had been seeing from the trailer was not actually ours to use so that was out. Reed took a nap and Millie went in to town again with my mom to do some trolly riding and shopping.

Rick got back from biking with Vince shortly after Mom and Millie returned. We decided to head in to town, again, and meet Vince and Holly at a park with the kids. So while mom enjoyed a few quiet hours to herself, we enjoyed a little walk along the river, let the kids play at the playground and then we brought pizza back to the trailer for supper.

After we filled our bellies, we got a couple balls out that we brought along and they all played for quite a while.

That is until Vince managed to get the soccer ball stuck about 40 feet up in a tree. Well done Uncle Vince. I should have never said "There's no way you 2 can get that ball out of the tree." That was a big mistake, don't I know better? I am not sure what was going through their heads but they were sure they could use a jeep, a 10 foot long strap and themselves to get the $7 soccer ball out of the tree. It took them about 15 minutes, which is 14 and a half minutes longer than a normal person, to decide that maybe this wouldn't work.

They finally decided to just throw rocks at it until they knocked it out of the tree. That was a success and we now have the ball back. That sure was close because I am sure we could not have went a few miles down the road and just bought a new one. I was convinced at one point that we were going to be the only people to ever be kicked out of a trailer park but we were able to clear out before anyone complained. It's kind of scarey to think how this situation could have escalated had there been another brother or 2 or 3 in the mix.

The evening couldn't be complete without a little jeep driving.

Reed sure is having a blast driving all these fun new things the past few days.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure my kids want to pack Holly up and take her home with us.
