Bring On All Stars

Millie and Reed were both invited to play All Stars after their regular season ball teams ended. First we said 'no' for Millie because she does travel ball and we said 'yes' for Reed. However, the league was not taking 'no' for an answer with Millie and Reed wasn't really super excited about it so considering we have zero amounts of time this summer, Millie is playing and Reed isn't. He's fine with it though and I am really glad that it worked out. Millie's travel coach is also one of the All Star coaches with Rick so they all agreed to lighten up on our travel schedule so the girls could do All Stars.

The girls had their first games as a team this past weekend. It was an official scrimmage meaning there was an ump but it was not part of the All Star tourneys, just a chance for the girls to play some games as a team and see what our competition would be in our first District round coming up in 2 weeks.

I have to admit, when I first saw these girls I didn't think we had a chance but they did amazing! We won all three games and I think the total for the day was that we won 57-4. And those 4 really only came because we moved our outfield in to the infield and Millie even sat out one inning in the last game which is not something you do if you are not just trying to let the other team score a few. Millie got at least 1 home run, maybe 2, I can't remember.

I think we may have a chance of making regionals again like we did last year if we keep this up.
