Reed has been very excited about football this year. Rick and a friend have decided that our boys need to play tackle football this year. I was against it at first but then looking back at flag football over the past 2 years, the boys tackle anyway so you might as well have the protection on and be prepared for it. So Reed is signed up for a tackle league this fall that Rick will coach (his new job is such a blessing for our family!) so I figured he needed to learn a little more before that starts. Him and a buddy have been doing a football camp this week at Providence Catholic High School where my dad went to school. Reed thought that was pretty neat. It's a great little camp, only an hour each day, where the boys work on footwork drills, tackling drills and running the ball. He has really enjoyed it and I have been impressed with how well run it is and how much they are learning in just an hour.
