Around The Farm

Just helping around the farm. Dad was teaching Reed how to shuck corn and of course it's firewood time.

You can never have enough.  Some of this wood has been in here for 20+ years.

Down the chute, into the cellar.

Football

Reed's team went undefeated all season but they couldn't hold it together during the championship game.  They played hard though and Reed improved tons from last year.  They played the championship game at my dad's Alma Mater so he even came to watch.

Orchestra

Millie is really enjoying orchestra class this year.  Their first concert was back in September and it was a huge performance combining grades 5-12.  The 5th graders only had a very minor part.  The theme was Orchestra Rocks and they were encouraged to dress up like KISS or The Village People because they were playing songs from those bands as well as Kansas, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

She was enjoying it so much (and complained that it was too easy) that she asked to try out for the Floyd County Youth Symphony. I really didn't want to because we are so busy but considering I am a music teacher, I didn't feel quite right about that so off we went. She made it and there is only 1 other 5th grader in the group. She is really working hard and improving lots, I can't wait for their first concert in December.
