I had some fun with the girls before Christmas and we did a little photo shoot. I think everyone was pretty happy with them and the girls really enjoyed it.

Last Day of School
June 3rd and it's finally the last day of school. Sadly, they go back next month so they can actually tell their teacher, "See you next month". Kind of depressing but that's the way it goes. Mommy school during the summer is getting more difficult with ever year because it seems I get less and less time to teach them what I feel like they should be learning in school. I'm very lucky that they enjoy it though so it makes it a little easier. Even though our summer is booked solid with softball All Stars, travel ball, baseball summer ball, tennis lessons, swim lessons, pitching lessons, piano lessons, football camp, Camp Invention, mommy school, birthdays, weddings, baby showers and play dates...we will try to relax and just enjoy the break, what we have of it at least. Here's to making the most of the 7 weeks we get off.

Fusion Columbus, IN Tourney
Millie's travel team has been doing great this season. Here are a few photos of her first 2 games on Saturday morning. I had to leave after that because Reed has his first tourney game back in Floyd Knobs. Millie's team ended up being the number 3 seed going into games on Sunday and finished 5th over all. Millie caught several pop flies, got a grand slam (home run with bases loaded)and assisted in a double play. The girls all had fun swimming in the hotel pool Saturday night and just having fun.
| Not sure which direction this ball was coming from but it was not a successful play, oh well. |

Ice Ice Ice
The kids are now out of snow days and now they are tacking on to our already very short 8 week summer break. And that is with the state waiving 2 of the days from a few a weeks ago. I think we are up to 9 days missed due to snow and probably a weeks worth of delays. I'm trying to look on the bright side and enjoy the beauty it brings us but I'm having a real hard time with that. Summer is too short the way it is, go away snow and ice and let us have a summer, what's left of it!

Snow Storm 2013
We had a nice big snow event in December, about 8 inches in all. This kids missed a few days of school and had lots of fun playing. At one point, the flakes were so big, they were about half the size of a playing card, no joke. I have never seen flakes this big. And the most wonderful thing about it is my kids are big enough they can go out without me now. So I can enjoy these beautiful snowy days from the comfort of my couch knowing I don't have to go out expect to throw some wood in the stove.

Ft. Myer and the Keys
My mom and I had a get-away to Florida for a week in January. We saw a lot from Ft. Myer all the way down to Key West. We hiked through the Everglades and enjoyed the roosters all over the Keys.
Some of my favorites from the Everglades, Key Largo and Bahia Honda State Park...

Some favorites from Key West...

My overall thoughts on Key West are this: I loved the architecture and the roosters. It was a perfect size to rent a bike and ride the entire island in half a day (which we did). But those of you who know me well know I like nice quiet and peaceful surroundings so I could easily do without all the 30 year old drunks who thought they were in New Orleans on spring break as well as all the dirty hippies. So if you removed all the dirty hippies and drunks, I'd love it. But as it stands, 2 days there was plenty for me.
