The first round of All Star Playoffs was this weekend in Lanesville. Floyd Knobs easily won both pool play games giving them the number 1 seed, neither team scored against them. We then played 3 more games to win the championship. We outscored our opponents in the Districts 85-8. That's kind of a big deal. Millie got MVP of the first tourney game where she also scored her 12th career home run she told me later. She's keeping track of them I guess.
I was very proud of this group of girls. We had our share of mistakes in the championship game (allowing the other team to score 6 runs on us) but hopefully we will get the kinks worked out when we play the State Tourney next weekend. The teams will get much harder from this point on.
